How to Join

1. Make sure your site meets all of the following criteria:
   • your site has something to do with Shito-Ryu
   • the page that you register must be the page that is Shito-Ryu-related
   • if you have more than one Shito-Ryu page, you can register just a "main" page

2. Copy the graphic to your local server. Do NOT reference it off of someone else's server without their permission!

3. Register your page. This inserts you into the queue, not the ring, makes your site known to the WebRing program and gives you a Site ID.

   Your E-mail
   Your Name
   Password	(see warning below)
   Keywords
   Description

   Make sure to write down the Site ID that is returned!

   WARNING: The password you enter for this or any other WebRing is visible to the ring master (me, in this case). Please use caution to ensure that nothing is compromised.

4. Add the HTML fragment below to the page which you have registered. The purpose of the ring is to link Shito-Ryu pages together, not to force people to go through many pages or screens before they can proceed. Please put the HTML fragment as high up on the page as is feasible given your layout.

   Note the following:

   • make sure to replace YOUR-EMAIL-ADDRESS with, well, your email address.
   • replace YOUR-SITE-ID with the Site ID which was returned when you registered.
   • make sure the fragment points to an image on your own site
   • if placed on a page with frames, add TARGET="_top" to all references. Remember to add the Shito-Ryu WebRing code to your no frames section, if you have one.
   • if you move the page or change your email address, please remember to update your Shito-Ryu WebRing code and the Shito-Ryu WebRing database (see Maintenance below).

5. Send email to me (Daniel Vallone) of your desire to be added to the ring after you have added the above code. Be sure to include your Site ID. I will look at your site and ensure that it meets all of the criteria, and that the HTML code fragments are correct. I will then add your site, and email you when it is done.

6. That's it! You should now be able to navigate the entire ring until you make it back to your homepage. An easy way to make sure that you got added correctly is to go to the homepage of the person before you in the index and see if their next button takes you to your page.
